Planning Administrator

The Company

My client is one of the country’s leading Social Housing Refurbishment Contractors. The company work in a wide range of market sectors and have an enviable reputation for their project delivery and standard of finish. Owing to the increased workload of a long term responsive maintenance contract within the Social Housing sector, they are urgently seeking to appoint an experienced Planning Administrator.

The Role

Reporting to the Office Manager, the successful Scheduling Officer / Planning Admin will be responsible for handling responsive housing repair calls from tenants and to then allocate the repairs to trades people.

You will be required to use the in house systems in order to log the calls and then depending on the nature of the query you will be liaising with external parties in order to resolve the call.

You must have an understanding nature and a desire to help the tenants as they will be calling in relation to issues with their properties so showing empathy is imperative to being successful in this role. Following up on various queries in order to close the logs down when the works have been completed is a vital part of this role and you will be required to do this on a daily basis.

The Important Details

It is imperative that you have a background in responsive repairs, with experience in the construction industry, and experience working in a social housing company before will be EXTREMELY beneficial. You will also need to have experience of working with the Opti-time scheduling database or similar and have some knowledge or have worked with scheduler rates.
