Accounts Ledger Clerk

We are working closely with a Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning Maintenance Company based in the North West. They are currently looking to recruit an Accounts Ledger Clerk to provide direct support to several departments within the Accounts team.

Main Tasks
Sales Ledger Department
· Generate draft sales invoices
· Generate draft sales credit notes
· Generate draft pro-forma sales invoices

Purchase Ledger Department
· Dealing with purchase ledger/supplier enquires and resolving issues by telephone and email.
· Distribute invoices and purchase orders for authorisation.
· Data entry of invoice and purchase orders on to Sage/Job Costing.
· Administration of held and queried orders
· Handling Project Engineer and Supplier queries
· Raising and processing Utility and Overhead invoices
· Reconcile Statements and processing queries and missing invoices.

Accounts Department
· Process and review Expense and Mileage Claims
· Process interdepartmental labour allocation
· Payment allocation on cashbook and Sage accounting system
· Creating new Sage accounts
· Checking overtime
· Resolving customer queries by phone.
· Credit card analysis and posting
· Opening and distributing post.

Skills Required
· Strong work ethic and good time keeping
· Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook
· Previous experience on Sage Line 50

In return our client is looking offer a basic Salary: £26,000depending on the candidate. This is a full time, permanent position with the working hours being 8:30am to 5:00pm. You will also be entitled to other benefits like;

· 30 days holiday per year (including Bank holidays) increasing by 1 day per year to a maximum of 33 (pro rata)
