Apprentice Regional Administrator
Location: Lakeside Portsmouth
Babcock is the largest private sector provider of vocational training in the UK. Organisations, ranging from the military to the emergency services and from local authorities to commercial organisations, trust us to deliver their training needs.
We have an urgent requirement for an Apprentice Regional Administrator to provide administrative support for the Region.
Responsibilities will involve:
Complete a L2 Business Administration Apprenticeship
To provide administrative support for the Region and assist the Senior Administrator in the effective and efficient running of the region
Ensure Learner files are managed to auditable standards
Maintain accurate filing of general correspondence and funding body paperwork
Manage incoming telephone calls, ensuring they are dealt with efficiently and in a polite/helpful manner and where necessary taking and distributing messages.
Open and distribute departmental incoming mail, and administer outgoing mail daily
Maintain stationery and resource supplies to agreed levels
Issue resources as required to team members
Co-ordinate training room bookings for regional staff
Distribute Career Information packs to perspective customers, and manage responses
Maintenance of activity logs for everyone in the Region
To undertake all tasks and exercise responsibilities in line with the Company’s Operating Procedures and working instructions
Achievement of key performance indicators
Skills and experience required:
• Numerate and able to work with figures
• IT literate in regard to Excel, Word, PowerPoint and MS Outlook
• Excellent verbal and written communications
• Good organisational and prioritisation skills
• Works well to support a team
• Self-motivated with ability to self-manage
• Applies flexibility, imagination, innovation and creative problem solving techniques
• Competent at interpreting a wide range of information and the ability to use this information
