About the Club:
The Lansdowne Club is a private members’ Club in Mayfair, London opening its doors to both men and women in 1935 and thriving today with over 8500 Members worldwide. Striving to be the best social, sports, residential and business Club in London the amenities include: 72 bedrooms, fine dining restaurant, brasserie, café, ballroom, 6 function rooms and top of the range sports facilities including a swimming pool, steam room, squash courts, fencing, gym, studio and treatments.
The Lansdowne Club Dining Room is looking for passionate and enthusiastic people to join our fantastic team. The position will suit a candidate who has a passion for hospitality, and is willing to learn and grow, who enjoys providing service which is a touch above and who always goes above and beyond to fulfil the needs and expectations of our members. This role is pivotal in the business; you will be the first touch point any customers have with the company whether by phone or by email so presentation skills are of the utmost importance. Candidates must look highly professional and have impeccable communication skills. The most important aspect of this role, as well as the below responsibilities is that candidates MUST have had experience working within a hospitality environment in the past and ideally have worked in a waiter/waitress role as aspects of service will be a large element of your work.
You must be organised, driven with good communication skills and positive approach to your work.
Day to day responsibilities include:
* Taking enquiries/requests/bookings over high volume via email and telephone
* Managing a very busy booking system
* Organising all areas for service, dealing with special requests for guests
* Maintain up-to-date product knowledge relevant to the current menu
* You must also have excellent written and spoken English as you will be giving instructions in a very busy, often noisy environment so instructions must be clear, concise and communicated well in a professional manner.
