Role requires the ability to solder to a high standard – ideally J-STD-001, however training is provided. In addition, assemblies produced undergo a number of rigorous tests.
Key Responsibilities:

Assemble all types of Jumpers, Hose and Cable assemblies
Soldering to ODI standards and procedures – J-STD-001
Conducting procedural tests on production product including incoming material needed to support customer need date
Responsible for understanding and use of all test equipment, test fixtures, and procedures
Maintaining security for all quality verification equipment and its calibration control
Notify errors on procedures, drawings, bills of material, and engage with support teams (Quality, Manufacturing Engineering).
Responsible for completing documentation – Manufacturing Record Books.
Responsible for timely and accurate entry of data into the IFS system.
Responsible for maintaining high quality standards and workmanship.
Maintain excellent communication and working relationship with all departments within the company.
Maintain a safe working environment.
Communicating special tooling needed to perform operation that may have not been identified.
Qualifications & Experience

as a technician within a light industrial industry is desirable.
Exposure to hydraulics and pneumatics preferable
Experience in using fundamental gauging and measuring equipment
Experience in handling fiber optic related product
Experienced in soldering ideally to J-STD-001or IPC equivalent
Ability to work in a team environment.
Familiar with test equipment needed to perform tasks. (Meggers, Ohm-meters)
Ability to use optical test equipment
Able to read technical drawings, specifications and procedures.
Computer Literate Working knowledge of MSOffice programs, i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook
