My client is leading video games organisation based in London They are currently on the hunt for a spread of PHP Developers from junior to lead. The key to success lies in combining creativity, high-tech and a data-driven approach. You will be a highly skilled person to develop my clients server-side systems, keeping a focus on scalability, reliability and security.

What you will be doing:

Your first month will be spent familiarising yourself with the office and games. You will come to grips with why it is an exciting title, and will have already contributed to fleshing out ideas and features.
By the end of month two you will had a real impact on finalising some of the game’s core areas. You will have worked with programmers and artists to establish great design work in the UI, gameplay systems, and product roadmap.
By the end of month three, you will have had the opportunity to work on level design, systems design and feature development.
As the title launches, you will be prepared to design and deliver additional content for the game. You will be working with a team to develop these designs into functional features and events.
A year in, and your designs will continue to keep millions of players engaged, and equally continue to attract new players. You will be an expert in live operation design, and in understanding what keeps players coming back for more.
Main responsibilities and accountabilities

Create fun, intuitive, elegant designs for a variety of game systems and content.
Write clear, concise design documents and briefs with affective supporting material.
Present and defend design ideas to the team and ensuring buy in and make improvements and iterations based on feedback.
Create and balance content for the game using Excel, Unity and other tools.
Participate in design review and feedback sessions.
Stay abreast of the latest games and competitors in the mobile, free-to-play gaming space.

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

A deep understanding of free-to-play design and how to blend gameplay fun with monetisation.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to sell your ideas to the team and gracefully accept feedback.
Experience with either web, console or mobile (iOS/Android) game development.
Competence working with data and using it to help inform design decisions and tuning.
Experience using Excel for analysis and data creation.
Competence with Unity3D editor or similar tools.
