A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an outgoing, intelligent and commercially minded person to work as a Compliance Service Delivery Manager, in a dynamic, growing company based in North Yorkshire.

Your role is an integral part of the compliance team, reporting to the Operations Manager and working collaboratively with the Compliance Team Manager delivering a high level of customer service to existing customers (in line with the customer service policy) and ensuring a positive retention record is maintained through the optimisation of customer relationships. Building strong relationships with new and existing suppliers of recycling evidence to ensure scheme compliance obligations are met on the right commercial terms. Account Management to existing customers. You will be responsible for the delivery of the annual procurement plan across the WEEE and Batteries compliance service; Accountable for negotiating and agreeing commercial terms and building long term relationships with suppliers of WEEE and Batteries services (collections and evidence); Recruitment of new WEEE and Batteries suppliers (collections and evidence); Oversee recording and reconciling WEEE and Batteries recycling evidence data; Support other Account Managers with any member communications as required; Establish, oversee, regularly review and update internal customer communication template documents; Complete waste submissions to the Environment Agency; Batteries compliance service management; Internal and external auditing; Representing Comply Direct at industry meetings and events as required; Full back-up to Compliance Team Manager and Operations Manager as required; Line management to compliance team colleagues. In order to be considered for the role you will be; Educated to A-level or equivalent, you will be confident, personable and outgoing with strong relationship building skills. You will be commercially aware, and be comfortable negotiating and overcoming challenges through your creative problem-solving skills.

You will have a minimum 2 years’ experience in a role where relationship building has been the key to success and experience of leading and managing people as well as a keen eye for detail. You will work well in a team with a ‘muck in’ approach being flexible and open to change when business demands require. You must have a strong work ethic working well under pressure with excellent organisational skills and the ability to meet deadlines. Experience and/or understanding of the environmental compliance sector would be advantageous, but not essential.
