Assistant HR Officer
Location: West Cumbria
Working hours: 37 hours per week
Salary: £16.8PAYE per hour
Duration: 12 Months

Objective

A great opportunity has arisen for a bright, proactive individual to work as an Assistant HR Officer within the Nuclear Industry.

Our client is a waste management company that provides services to customers to treat and dispose of low level radioactive waste; they oversee a national programme to ensure that lower activity waste is managed effectively.

Deliverables (for contract)

Your responsibilities will include;

Assisting with internal and external resourcing, including; staff promotions, transfers and external recruitment.
Operating HR systems.
Supporting the consultation and negotiation partnership forum processes.
Ensuring compliance with legislative requirements.
Responding to requests for data.
Providing advice and guidance to employees.
Making procedural changes to working instructions to fall in line with revisions to HR policies and practises.
Ensuring correspondence complies with employment law and HR policies.
Updating Absence Management data and ensuring all paperwork is received.
Identifying trigger points and inform line managers.
Producing monthly transaction logs.
Collating data for monthly reports.

Essential/Desirable Skills

The successful candidate will possess;

Excellent communication and customer service skills.
HR knowledge.
Good IT skills.
