Bench Hand Joiner/ Wood Machinist

Laura Hartley Recruitment are proud to be recruiting for experienced Bench Hand Joiner/ Wood Machinist to join our well established Wigan based client.

This is a fantastic opportunity for any experienced joiner with a passion and respect for their work, with high levels of accuracy and quality. And must be able to work independently and as part of a team.

The successful candidate must be able to manufacture doors, windows, counters and staircases, ready for installation. It is essential that successful candidates must have worked on this type of product previously.

It is essential that you have the ability to operate woodworking machinery.

You must have / be able to:

Previous experience within a Bench hand joiner/ wood machinist role.
The ability to prepare and assemble doors, windows and staircases ready for installation.
Create fittings for buildings as required.
Manipulate drawings in order to produce complex wood products.
Prepare materials/ models/ frames from scratch.

The ideal candidate will be a self- starter who is self- motivated, determined and confident. You must have the ability to multi task, to work as part of a team and on your own initiative, and have an excellent work ethic.

Hourly rate: £14.4per hour, negotiable dependent on experience. 40 hours per hour plus overtime.
