HEAD OF BI ANALYTICS PLATFORM MANAGEMENT

You will be responsible for the delivery of all Business Intelligence (BI) & Analytics services across all platforms by managing a team of platform managers. You will be a key contributor in defining the platform management requirements from the project initiation – ramping up the required services and resources and ensuring new solutions are smoothly being transitioned into regular operations alongside PM, service management and solution design teams. You will proactively engage in business communications and stakeholder management.

As Head of the Business Intelligence (BI) Analytics Platform Management your main responsibilities will involve:

Managing all BI & Analytics platform services to ensure the service levels are fully met, proactively taking action to address issues. This involved the management of the platforms, across all BI technology components i.e. SAP (BO, BPC, BW), Informatica PowerCenter, DB2, Microstrategy, Hadoop
Leading communications towards the business and IT stakeholders
Managing a team of platform managers with deep technical expertise, consisting of both internal and external resources, across diverse geographies
Collaborating with Project Management and Solution Design teams to ensure the operational aspects of a solution are taken into account
Optimizing the system landscape to increase overall robustness and stability of the BI & Analytics applications, defining and implementing the technical roadmaps
Driving the definition of the platform management requirements, ramping up the required resources and approving operational readiness for projects and releases
Handling escalations and complaint management
Working with IT Finance to deliver charge-back methodology, processes and metrics
Ensuring compliance with IT governance, standards and polices

Required Skills:

We are expecting a deep knowledge and experience in BI technologies, a strong ability to efficiently manage events in a way to prevent disruption of business operations and to proactively communicate with business stakeholders. Your skills and experience will ideally include:
University level education or equivalent
Prior experience working in a financial services environment desirable, preferably insurance
Service Management certification (e.g. ITIL) preferred
Over 10 years of relevant BI experience, with strong technical background in one or several of the following stacks: SAP (BO, BPC, BW), Informatica PowerCenter, DB2, Microstrategy, Hadoop
Solid experience Platform Management and administration on large scale platforms
Proven people leadership experience
Proven ability to drive teams for highly effective delivery leveraging multi-source staffing models including internal and external partners
Effective communication, presentation and relationship management skills at different levels and in a multicultural environment
Fluent in English (spoken and written). Additional languages are advantageous
