Section Engineer

A main contractor is recruiting for a Section Engineer working on a major civil engineering project in the North Hampshire area. The job itself is working with the installation of temporary works (trench boxes) and the overseeing of site engineers. With the package of work allocated in Urban areas.

Section Engineer duties include:

• Daily record keeping.
• Approving risk assessments and method statements
• Co-ordinating packages of work carried out by sub-contractors.
• Checking temporary works.
• Checking trentch boxes
• Checking permits.
• Managing the sub-contractors
• Dealing with technical queries and offer solution.

This company are an established tier one contractor working across the UK in areas of buildings, highways, rail as well as waste and energy.

The ideal candidate is likely to have a technical background with a degree or professional qualification in civil engineering or a related discipline. As well as having setting out knowledge on highways and or motorways and some temporary works knowledge.

Required to hold a valid CSCS card, SMSTS or SSSTS is expected as a minimum, and temporary works qualification would be preferable.

Candidates must be able to prove their eligibility to work in the UK
