Learning Support Assistant

We are urgently recruiting for a Learning Support Assistant to work in fantastic independent senior school based in Ashford, Surrey. This position starts ASAP and continues to the end of the Summer term.

The role:
The successful candidate will be working with a Year 8 pupil who is on the Autistic spectrum, needing support with dyslexia and dyspraxia. You will be required to provide support in lessons and help maintain the focus. There will be some 1:1 work involved in helping with spelling and literacy. For the role to be full time, the successful candidate would be required to offer general classroom support across Year 9 KS3 lessons also.

The school is set on beautiful grounds in Ashford, Surrey. The school has had a recent ISI inspection which was very successful, offering praise across the board with regards to school operations and performance. There is a strong and supportive SMT who offer a welcoming environment for pupils and staff alike. The school caters for boys aged between 11 and 18.

Requirements:
* Must have relevant experience as a Learning Support Assistant
* Must have experience working with Autism and SpLD.
* Must have CRB/DBS check issued within the past 12 months.
* Must be willing to embrace the culture and ethos of the school, presenting themselves as a role model to pupils.
