Mechanical Estimator

Salary: £48,000 – £54,000 per year

Our Client, a well-known, West Yorkshire-based, building services contractor, has appointed Parkinson Gray to act as a recruiting agent to assist them with their hiring of a Mechanical Estimator.

We have done lots of work with this Client in recent years. The people we have placed there are reporting back that, whilst it is a busy place to work, it is a good environment and place to develop your career. They are heavily involved in the retail space. They do some commercial work as well but retail is their main focus. Having successfully increased their share of the market they are seeking to expand their commercial team.

As a Mechanical Estimator, you will be required to produce fast and accurate tenders for their clients. You will use computerised estimation software and will work as part of a team, reporting to the Commercial Manager. What is particularly interesting about this role is that you don’t just pass projects over once a tender is successful. You will be involved with the project as it develops and so will get the chance to see your tenders become a reality.

This role may be filled with an experienced Mechanical Estimator, looking to move to a dynamic MEP contractor with a good order book. Alternatively, they are open to filling this role with someone coming into the office for the first time from site. Whichever best describes you, what is essential is that you have a positive attitude and are willing to become a key member of a successful team. Retail experience would be great but it is not essential.
