Security Systems Engineer

Salary: £42,000 – £48,000 per year

In line with a strategic growth plan due to a number of major framework wins we have a fantastic opportunity for a Security Consultant to join the Manchester office of a very well established and award winning multi-disciplinary Engineering Consultant.
The successful candidate will be a Security Designer or Integrator ideally from a Consultancy background however contractor or integrator background will also be considered.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Working as part of the well-established Security Consultancy team the Security Consultant will be responsible for designing electronic security systems (video surveillance, access controls, intruder detection and IP systems) on major projects throughout the world.
* The Security Consultant will be responsible for writing security system specifications.
* The Security Consultant will be undertaking surveys of existing security systems to ensure effective operation and write technical reports to provide recommendations on improvements and efficiency.
* Managing and mentoring Junior Engineers on projects.
SKILLS AND BACKGROUND
* Demonstrable knowledge and experience of designing electronic security systems including video surveillance, access control, intruder detection and security management systems.
* Working knowledge as a Security Consultant or Integrator within a Consultancy, Contractor or Integrator environment.
* Knowledge of CAD and modelling software such as AutoCAD or Revit as well as design sharing software such as Bluebeam.
