Salary: £26,000 – £28,800 per year
Due to continued growth our client is looking to recruit an experienced Production Coordinator (evening shift) to join their busy team. You will be working in a fast growing area and this requires someone with experience and vision to follow the growth of the business and effectively manage the output.
Overall Purpose
– To provide clear leadership and direction to Team Leaders and Operatives ensuring Health & Safety, Quality, Delivery & Cost targets of the company are achieved.
– Ensuring the necessary tools, processes and standards are in place.
– Champion a culture of Continuous Improvement, where every person is able to contribute to the success of the company.
Key Tasks:
– Audit staff training records and competency.
– Support Team Leaders with operator training.
– Ensure processes & equipment is in a satisfactory condition, liaise with engineering to ensure prompt action is taken if necessary.
– Encourage pride in the people, products and processes of the company.
– Liaise with Customer Care with regard to customer issues or concerns.
– Develop plans to best balance customer requirements with company cost & efficiency targets
– Set order priorities to Supervisor & Team Leaders and check progress.
– Liaise with Transport/Warehouse & Customer Services if delays against schedule become unavoidable.
– Review area performance on Key Performance Issues.
– Identify trends or issues on area KPI understand & take action if necessary.
– Encourage & investigate improvement ideas from within the team.
– Attend & contribute to the daily review meetings.
– Offer support, guidance and mentoring to encourage staff to excel.
– Complete all staff appraisals.
Deal with all staff issues including absences, holidays, monitoring correct PPE
Person Specification
The ideal candidate for this position will have experience of supervising and positively leading, supporting and motivating a team.
Have the drive, confidence and energy to make changes where they are needed.
Be passionate about Continuous Improvement and have a good understanding of standard operating procedures and the ability to ensure that these are complied with.
Salary & Benefits: £26,000 – £28,800per year + additional benefits.
Working Hours:
Monday to Thursday – 3.30pm to finish (usually 12.00am)
Friday – 1.30pm to finish (usually 10.00pm)
