Job Profile

You will be reporting directly to the Engineering Director and will be managing a small team of Toolmakers. As the Toolroom Manager you will be joining a very strong and successful management team within a team orientated environment. Your main function will be planning the work for the Toolmakers and ensuring company targets are achieved.

Duties

* Managing the manufacture and maintenance of moulds and press tools

* Management of Tool Design – Solidworks

* CNC component programming and manufacture – SolidCam

* Plan and implement new mould and press tooling to the required time and cost targets

* Demonstrate good practice and take responsibility for the HSE requirements

* Work with Administration to update all control documentation

* Responsible for fault analysis for the area

* Identify opportunities for continuous improvement

* Recruit, develop and manage a small team of Toolmakers on day to day basis

Skills & Experience

* Toolmaker or Tool design experience

* Insjection Mould or Moulding Toolmaking

* Excellent knowledge of manual milling, turning and grinding

* CNC experience

* Managed or led teams in an engineering environment

* Toolmaker or Engineering apprenticeship / education

* Able to demonstrate solid career progression

* Understanding of EDM techniques
