Senior Research Engineer

Salary: £66,000 – £84,000 per year

Avanti Recruitment are currently working with a north midlands-based company that’s just secured their second round of VC-funding and are growing accordingly. As a company, they’re pioneering an artificial intelligence technology and are achieving natural, autonomous movement in drones/UAVs.

They’re looking to add an Embedded Software Engineer into their multidisciplinary R+D team, who can come in and take on a significant role in the development of the team, as well as having input on, and shape their future projects & products. What they need is someone who is comfortable with creating & modifying custom Linux builds (Yocto, OpenEmbedded, OpenWRT, etc. are all fine.). The ideal embedded software candidate is also strong with C or C++ and is familiar with RTOS, hardware (FPGA or similar SoC), or has some computer vision/image processing experience.

For the right candidate, there is an opportunity to join a growing company who can offer a great deal of autonomy on how you work (Decide your own goals for the week, flexibility with working from home, choosing your hours, etc.). They’re offering around £70,000, along with the opportunity to not only build a team around you, but also help build & develop company processes & truly help shape some really cool technology.
