Accounts Payable / Expenses Ledger Clerk

Our established client is a Top 10 Accountancy Firm and they are currently looking for a Accounts Payable/Expenses Ledger Clerk to join their team in Milton Keynes

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is keen to progress within this industry.

Job purpose:

Experienced Accounts Payable/Expenses Ledger clerk required for a unique opportunity working with our client on some of their firm’s largest clients.

Main Duties/Key Result Areas:

• Maintaining AP/Expense ledgers.
• Accurately process AP invoices and Expense Claims across all countries in the client’s EMEA region.
• Responding to internal and external queries relating to invoices and payments.
• Importing expenses transactions into the General ledger.
• Monitor and clear down items on-hold and in query; and aged balances.
• Reconciliation of AP ledger to General ledger accounts.

Due to the nature of the role the following skills, knowledge & experience is required, however all applications will be considered:

• Familiarity of UK VAT requirements and rules regarding cross-border charging of VAT would be desirable but not essential.
• Knowledge of purchase order systems and the accounting aspect of AP.
• Large multi company. multi-currency accounting software experience ideal; e.g. Oracle, SAP.
• Industry background would be preferable.
