Senior Photographer, Retoucher and Videographer

This is an exciting opportunity to join a rapidly growing business.​ The Organic Pharmacy leads with innovation in the luxury organic health and beauty arena.

To join the design team in all aspects of the role involving photography, videography, retouching of images in Adobe Photoshop, up-loading of images to the website and image libraries and ensuring existing images on the site are of a consistent high standard.

Job description.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
– Set up of the photographic studio and all necessary equipment for the shooting of products.
– Organise and monitor stock through to the photography stage.
– Prepare and style products to photograph in a studio setting in line with guidelines.
– To photograph products in line with strict daily and weekly targets and deadlines.
– To produce still life and video assets for use across the website.
– To use Adobe Photoshop in the post-production of images. Retouching images to a consistent high standard in line with current guidelines and ensure colour consistency between images.
– To assist with the upload of photographs to the online library. To assist with the organisation of uploaded images and completion of progress reports, ensuring they are compiled, recorded and maintained
– To organise the image database to enable ease of access for other departments when needed.
– To assist the studio team by being responsible for the care and upkeep of the studios, equipment, props and supplies.
– To maintain and monitor all product images used on the website, ensuring that they remain visually in keeping with the Paul Smith brand and are of a high standard.
– To research current styles and trends within product photography for development and growth of the Paul Smith brand and website.
– To organise and set up of studios for model shoots. To assist during the model shoots as required as part of the studio team.
– To assist with the organisation and completion of product videos using Adobe Premiere Pro.
– To organise and complete photography shoots for internal departments and any location shoots.
– To assist with general E-Commerce as and when required.
– Any other duties, not specified above, as outlined by your Line Manager.

ESSENTIAL
Educated to minimum 2.1 Degree or equivalent qualification in a Photography related course. Intermediate level in Microsoft Office suite. Advanced level of computer literacy and use of Mac operating systems. Advanced user of Adobe Photoshop. Strong technical knowledge of cameras, lenses and lighting.

Experience
– Previous demonstrable experience in product photography and model photography in a studio environment. Experience in digital retouching and raw / digital workflow.
– Experience in colour correction. Excellent understanding and experience of Adobe Photoshop and Capture One Pro. Experience in videography using DSLRs.
– Model photography on location. Competent user of Adobe Premiere Pro.
– Good communication skills; both written and verbal. Strong organisational skills.
– Excellent attention to detail. Ability to plan, organise and prioritise to set deadlines.
Interest in beauty and photography.
– Disposition / Personality / Motivation
– Motivated, helpful, has the ability to stay calm under pressure and be self-motivated.
– Team player who can also work using their own initiative. Able to take instruction and work to strict deadlines. Reliable and confident.
