The Company
A world renowned engineering firm, who specialise in design, manufacturer and testing of advanced electromechanical products. The company are expanding their highly skilled engineering design team to meet their ever expanding customer requirements
The Role
As a Mechanical Design Engineer you will be responsible for life cycle of the design stage through to manufacture of complex, high volume electromechanical products.
Main responsibilities:
Covering concept designs to detailed engineering drawings using either Solidworks or Pro-Engineer.
Ensuring the designs is able to be manufactured in both small batch and high volume manufacture using: CFD/FEA/Simulation.
Performing mechanical engineering calculations to ensure feasibility of designs and manufacturing capability.
The Candidate
Strong proven ability designing complex engineered products using Pro-Engineer or Solidworks. (5 years minimum)
Strong mechanical engineering knowledge with the ability to perform mechanical calculations, simulations, CFD & FEA.
Ability to design for manufacture to ensure products manufacturability at both low and high volume.
Practical thinking with the ability to prove design / manufacturing theory.
The Package
£48,000 – £60,000per annum + a very good company benefits package.
