Assembly Team Leader
Positions available: 3x
Reporting to: Assembly Supervisor
Our Client is a leading commercial manufacturing company and they are looking for 3x Assembly Supervisors.
The primary purpose of the Assembly Team Leader role is to work with and support the Assembly Supervisor to ensure all products manufactured are of the highest quality and within a safe environment.
Working to achieve the goals set for performance and deadlines in ways that comply with the company’s plans and vision.
Organising workflow and ensuring that teams understand their duties or delegated tasks.
Key Responsibilities of an Assembly Team Leader
* To work within various assembly teams using flow line methodologies in order to ensure the efficiencies of the team are maximised with the goal of achieving current targets.
Health & Safety Environment
* To ensure all safe working practices are being adhered to within the team, ensuring correct PPE is being worn and taking corrective action to deal with any noncompliance.
* To ensure the team is working in line with the company’s environmental policy, waste being segregated and pallets etc. stored in the correct locations.
* To ensure that all relevant safety checks are being conducted; signing of the Light barrier checks; liquids are being stored in COSHH cupboards etc.
* To promptly act and report on any health and safety issues that have been identified through the near-miss process, eliminating any health and safety hazards.
* To ensure that any accidents are reported promptly by following the accident reporting procedure.
Quality
* To ensure manufactured components meet or exceed expected Quality standards
* To ensure all quality procedures are being accurately completed.
* To report any quality issues that may arise.
* To be proactive identify and suggest ways to improve quality.
* To ensure that any non-conformance is dealt with promptly through the application of the ECR, MQA & Deviation processes.
Operational Performance
* To work within various assembly teams using flow line methodologies in order to ensure the efficiencies of the team are maximised with the goal of achieving current targets.
* Training and supporting agency and permanent operators within the team.
* To support Supervisor with administration processes, completing quality sign offs, raising scrap, deviation and ECRs.
* To ensure all bookings and processes are completed correctly and in accordance with SAP processes and procedures.
* To effectively communicate to key stakeholders i.e. daily huddles, shift handover, production meetings in the Supervisors absence.
* To document machinery and equipment failures.
Working Hours: 8am to 4.30pm (If needed could be rotating shifts)
