HVAC Commissioning Technician – London – £22-28k plus mileage.

Who we are looking for…
A bright and enthusiastic individual seeking to gain an insight into the core function of a leading Commissioning and Water Treatment company with a nationwide client base.
In this role you will provide valuable on-site support to a very dynamic team of engineers and will be comfortable carrying out routine tasks with a commissioning management team. There is an opportunity to carry out specific projects for the right person.
A confident communicator, you will be happy to liaise with other trades, take part in commissioning activities either individually or as part of a team and familiarize yourself with working drawings and job technical specifications.
Your job purpose…
As part of a multi-discipline team, assist with the delivery of commissioning procedures, completion and commissioning check sheets, handover procedures and certification management. Assist with compilation, sign-off and handover of certification packs to clients and consultants.
Your duties and responsibilities…
1. To be familiar with company Health and Safety policy and be aware of the requirements of safety for yourself and others.
2. To assist senior personnel in carrying out commissioning activities on site and generally to observe instructions given by an authorised person.
3. To undertake all pre-commissioning activities whilst working with drawings and job technical specifications.
4. To be solely responsible for your issued instruments and test kits used on site, knowing how to look after them, using the correct instrument for the appropriate task and being responsible for their maintenance.
5. To balance some water and air flow systems whilst assisting more senior staff with others.
6. To liaise on any problems with your immediate senior or supervisor and to record and convey them using approved reporting procedures.
7. To complete air and water balance test sheets legibly and presentably for checking by the lead engineer or supervisor.
8. To become competent to demonstrate completed and balanced work to relevant authorities.
9. Always wear company clothing and appropriate PPE to maintain safe working environment both on site and at our premises.
Your Key Tasks…
You have expressed good knowledge and understanding with the following activities and will now be responsible for:
Performing air and water balancing and HVAC systems validations to CIBSE Codes and BSRIA Guidelines, always with a positive outlook and can-do attitude, proactive troubleshooting.
Commission, with assistance as required, the systems being managed and liaise with the project managers to resolve technical issues which may impact on programme completion.
To generate test sheets and reports in a timely manner.
Follow company processes relating to all aspects of your work, showing respect to all staff and colleagues.
Always promote a professional company image. You will be the company representative ensuring all commissioning and technical activities are completed on time and within budget.
Key Skills & Attributes
To include but not limited to:
Must possess sound knowledge and have proven background and/or 2 years of experience in HVAC commissioning & balancing.
To compile correct computer generated test sheets and engineers reports using our master templates, initially with some training and guidance if required.
Knowledge of the procedures for air and water balancing to BSRIA guidelines and CIBSE Codes A & W.
To abide to company rules, Health and Safety and Quality policies.
Carry out all reasonable tasks, requests or projects as requested.
To follow instructions as given by project managers/lead engineers.
Always behave respectfully with clients, work colleagues and office staff.
