Salary: £26,000 per year
Recruitment agency Workforce Personnel are recruiting for Waking Night Workers that will deliver a high-quality service to Young People. They will be responsible for managing the safety and security of the core & cluster buildings within the service. This will be delivered through the provision of a waking nights service.
KEY RESPONSIBILITES:
* Implement night security systems, ensuring overall safety and security of the housing service and respond to faults as discovered.
* Monitor access to the services and visitors.
* Meet the requirements of health and safety policies and practices.
* Log and report incidents & complaints & anti-social behaviour
* Carry out domestic tasks (cleaning communal areas) to a high standard ensuring that the immediate environment of the service user in relation to service provision is well maintained, clean, and tidy and assessed for any fire and health and safety risks. This should be achieved by taking appropriate follow up action directly or through the relevant third party.
* Effectively record information & maintain up to date records.
* Ensure handovers are completed at the start and end of shift with day staff
* Experience of managing overnight security, in a residential housing service housing vulnerable/young people
* Experience of monitoring CCTV systems and managing health and safety issues
* Ability to respond appropriately to challenging behavior
* Able to follow written procedure and polices and work on own initiative
* Ability to manage the safety and security of residents and buildings
* Good verbal and written communication skills
* Record keeping skills
* Understanding of the need for confidentiality
Required:
* Actively contribute towards meeting Individual and team performance targets in respect of the service.
* Take responsibility for committing to learning and development and actively designing actions through the appraisal and supervision process that will help improve practice and support skills.
* Maintain up to date records via relevant and appropriate systems within specified timeframes and produce reports as required.
* Keep up to date with relevant regulatory requirements of the sector and ensure that service delivery meets these requirements, including engaging in audits and inspections as required.
* Positively promote and represent at all times, building strong relationships with colleagues to work as part of an integrated team focused on meeting the needs of services users/learners.
* Adhere to Safeguarding and data policies and procedures at all times and comply with legislation and statutory duties and data controls protocols.
* Act in line with, promote and carry out all responsibilities with full regard to Nacro’s Equality and Diversity Policy.
* Be responsible for reporting any health and safety issues within your sphere of control.
* Display professional behaviours that are consistent with company values and serve as a positive role model
