Salary: £26,000 – £31,317 per year
We are seeking a Porter to join an established portering team to help deliver a 1st class service within an NHS setting. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals to join an organisation which has patient safety and care at the very heart of its working practices.
The aim of the roles is to provide a safe environment for patients, staff and visitors and to contribute to preventing and reducing the spread of Healthcare Associated Infections (HCAIs).
As part of the role, you would be required to communicate effectively with departmental managers & colleagues to ensure to smooth delivery of the service.
You will:
· Maintain a high standard of professionalism when working in patient areas.
· Move patients in wheelchairs or beds from one ward to another (or from A&E / X-ray)
· Help deliver bloods and specimens between departments
· Help move other goods, equipment as outlined by the manager
· Compliance with policies and procedures
Due to the requirements of the role, the successful applicant will be required to spend large parts of the working day on their feet.
Shift pattern will be based on a 2 week rotation:
Week 1: 2pm-10pm Monday to Friday
Week 2: 2pm-10pm Wednesday to Sunday.
This is a 37.5 hour working week role
