Job Location: Wakefield

Salary: £26,000per year

SC Education Recruitment is looking to recruit 8 x SEND Support Workers in resource units across the Wakefield (WF1, WF2, WF4, WF5, WF8, and WF11) area. The roles are all on a temp to perm basis to start ASAP or dependant on the candidates current notice period. The successful candidates will be working as a candidate for SC Education Recruitment for the first 10 school weeks and then would transfer on to the schools books as a permanent member of staff after that.

7 of the roles are full time (Mon-Fri) and the other role is part time, 3 days a week (specific days are yet to be confirmed.

We are looking for someone who has a nurturing personality and is passionate about supporting students education and life skills development. The resources support students from KS1 – KS5 and the successful candidates will be placed with appropriate key stage dependant on previous experience.

The successful candidate must have:

* A minimum of 1 year experience working with students with special educational needs and disabilities including DYX, ASD, PDA, HFA, SEMH, MLD, and ADHD

* A can-do attitude and be willing to support indoors and outdoors whatever the weather

* Excellent communication skills

* A non-judgmental approach and the ability to stay calm when faced with challenging behaviours

* A genuine passion to work with young people

* A Team Teach qualification would be desirable but not essential
