Salary: £42,000 – £54,000 per year
This is an exciting opportunity to develop a long term career with this fast growing business. In order to support their continued growth and develop their propositions further, our client wishes to recruit a highly motivated Pensions Manager to join their Product Technical team.
In this role the Pensions Manager will have the following key responsibilities:
Be seen as a technical expert within the business
Work with a varied range of internal and external stakeholders
Interpret and advise on the Trust Rules
Input to internal projects giving technical support and guidance as appropriate
Take steps to ensure that project output is in line with legislative and regulatory provisions
Attend meetings, both internally and externally, with project teams, employers advisers and the Trustee
Prepare Trustee meeting papers and reports to senior management
Respond to formal Requests For Information (RFIs) from intermediaries and employers
Lead in the drafting of responses to industry consultations
Draft and review employer and member facing communications in conjunction with the communications team
Interpret legislation and advise the business on compliance with new and existing legislation
Produce technical briefing papers and answer technical queries
Support the Propositions Development, Sales and Implementation teams and attend meetings with employers as required
Provide suggestions for future product developments
Become familiar with the other products and services offered by B&CE and act as a point of reference for questions on them Ability to explain complex information clearly and simply
As the Pensions manager you will have the following skills:
Degree Qualified
Professional qualifications such as APMI or progress towards Experience of trust based pension arrangements. Experience of contract based schemes beneficial
Experience of working with Trust Deed & Rules
A good knowledge of pensions legislation
Experience of managing and progressing multiple tasks, prioritising workloads as required Strong understanding of the pensions industry. In particular DC pensions administration, governance, automatic enrolment and relevant legislation
Work as part of a and co-ordinate diverse teams
Intelligent, articulate and persuasive and able to present plans logically
Good ability to represent the organisation externally
Numerate with good attention to detail, problem solving skills
