Salary: £54,000 – £66,000 per year
Our client, an international multi-disciplinary engineering services contractor who provides mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, transmission & distribution and data communications services to blue chip clients in the UK, Irish and European markets.
Core Competences required
Mechanical HVAC and Piping, Electrical and Instrumentation, Electrical Transmission and Distribution, Data Communication systems and Calibration services
Duties and responsibilities:
• Carrying out monthly project Quality Control & Quality Assurance Audits on projects.
• Copying auditees on QC Reports within 48 hours of completion.
• Reporting back on Quality issues to the Mechanical QC Manager and/or Group QA Manager & QEHS Director (as required).
• Liaise with clients & potential clients to ensure that their quality requirements are met.
• Liaise with project consultants & other contractors regarding quality matters.
• Follow-up on items raised that need to be addressed on site.
• Updating the monthly Quality KPIs with the required information needed.
• Training and educating the Site and Project Management teams on Quality initiatives.
• Supporting Site Supervisors and Project Managers with regard to our Quality approach.
• Liaising with Departments, Project Sites and assisting in managing QEHS projects.
• Completing Tender documentation and specialist Reports, as required.
• Trouble shooting and problem solving with regard to Quality deviations.
• Reviewing existing Procedures and Forms and updating as required.
• Managing and tracking QC Inspectors and Test Equipment.
• Help create & write Project Specific Quality Plans & ITP’s.
• Development of Quality Test Packs / Field Turnover Packs for projects.
Essential
• Piping or HVAC Trade Background and/or a Third Level qualification in either Mechanical, Process or Building Services Engineering preferred.
• Understanding of Project Specifications and Drawings.
• Ability to work well within strict deadlines.
• Excellent Microsoft Office skills and Communication skills.
• Ability and flexibility to travel the UK on many different Projects.
Desirable
• Access Database / MS SharePoint experience.
• Previous experience of Quality Management Systems e.g. ISO 9001, Q Mark, etc.
• Process Mechanical / Pharma / Medical Devices experience desirable.
• Construction experience / understanding.
• Safety experience.
