The Company:
Our client is the UK’s largest owner and operator of hair, beauty and retail product salons with more than 380 prime locations in towns and cities across the UK. Owned by the world’s largest operator of hair and beauty salons based in the USA with over 12,000 salons worldwide, their UK Head Office is based in the heart of the Midlands from where they support all of their UK salons.

Our client’s environment is a fast paced culture and although they are a large employer (with over 2500 employees in the UK) the environment feels very much like a small family run informal business. At Head Office level, the team is relatively small compared to the size of the business and everyone is expected to help out with what ever is needed to get things done. An exciting opportunity has now arisen for an Ecommerce Assistant within the Ecommerce team.

The Role:
The Ecommerce assistant will report into the Ecommerce Executive and will work closely with the team to support online product setup across two separate brands.

To provide full administrative support to the Ecommerce Executive in the set-up of new lines, using Magento EE.
* Maintain the online product range, sourcing and setup of all product attributes, images and specifications.
* Proactively source product information from the merchandise team to enhance product content.
* Write and edit web copy to ensure copy is SEO and customer friendly.
* Support the Customer Care team with Ecommerce customer queries, liaising with the warehouse and merchandising teams and supplier to resolve issues and enhance product page content to reflect customer feedback.
* Support the wider Ecommerce team in the development of the site with suggestions and examples from other online retailers.
The Person:
The successful Ecommerce Assistant will demonstrate the following skills and experience:
* Knowledge of the online selling process and an enthusiastic online shopper
* Knowledge of SEO and web copy writing would be an advantage along with experience in content management systems and HTML.
* Good PC skills, especially use of Excel and variants of browsers
* Excellent English literacy skills
* Would suit recent graduate or graduate calibre with some experience of working in an office and Ecommerce environment.
* An effective team player, with a flexible approach and good organisational skills, able to use their initiative
* Some affinity with hair and beauty products and services would be beneficial but not essential.
