Materials Technician

On behalf of our Client we are looking to appoint an experienced Materials Technician.

Our client is a global leader of speciality materials and chemical technologies, specialising in the development and production of composite products for a wide range of technical industries.

Key duties / requirements will include;

• Previous laboratory experience within a production/manufacturing environment
• A Science-based qualification (minimum requirement: A-level).
• Knowledge of DSC analysis, H&S procedures and ISO 9000 is essential
• To carry out product testing in suitable locations e.g. main testing laboratory, shop floor etc.
• Previous experience of either: gel testing, mechanical testing and/or composite handling is beneficial.
• To carry out planned, routine and specialist tests on raw materials, pre-pegs and test pieces.
• Comply with all company procedures and policies (as per the company Code of Conduct).
• To monitor and record the retained samples of pre-pegs to allow easy identification and locations of samples when required.
• To maintain a safe and clean working environment
• To support the Technical Team to ensure that all relevant products manufactured and purchased are examined and tested as deemed necessary
• The ability to carry out the planned product testing accurately and in a timely manner in the priority order agreed by Management
• To provide Technical Support to other departments in the Company to help achieve the Company goals
