Operative with HGV / LGV (Class 1 or 2) Driving

Waste Management Company looking for hands CPC on HGV CLASS 1 and 2 drivers to deliver professional waste and recycling services.

Rate: £26,000 per year (18 k per annum)
Extras: Pension, Bonus

JOB TITLE: Operative with HGV/ LGV (class 1 or 2) driving.

BACKGROUND:
You should come from a HGV/ LGV (class 1 or class 2) driving background.
You may have previous Waste Management experience.
Army/ Military backgrounds would be welcomed.
Operative experience in Waste Management or general operative experience would be needed.
You will need to have a driver CPC qualification.
You will have HGV/LGV (class 1 or class 2) experience driving skips, wagons, vans.

CLIENT:
My client a rapidly growing organisation in the waste and recycling sector. They are engaged in clinical waste management services. With their own recycling and transport facilities they can offer a full and comprehensive recycling service to potential customers.

MAIN DUTIES – Operative, HGV/LGV driver:

• You will have to perform operative duties- loading and unloading of vehicles, operation of clinical waste processing machinery and housekeeping duties.
• You will be involved in Waste Management collection services driving HGV/LGV (class 1 or class 2)- regular driving duties for holiday cover and ad-hoc waste collection / movements.
• You will be responsible for vehicle checks on a daily and weekly basis.
• You will be the face of the company at the client’s site.
• You will work well as a team player.
• You will make sure that loads are safely secured and that you are complying to company Health and Safety regulations.

EXPERIENCE – Operative, HGV/ LGV (class 1 or 2) driver.

You will have a Driver CPC qualification.

Ideally a clean licence.

You will have experience driving HGV/ LGV vehicles.

A professional attitude and ability to work hands on.

Waste Management or Recycling collection experience not required.

You will have a good knowledge of processing/ transport operations.
