CNC Turner – Machine Setter Operator

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced CNC Turner to join a successful sub contract machining and fabrication company in Leicester. In return we offer a permanent position on various shifts (AM, PM and night shifts available) with competitive hourly rate up to £15.6 /hr (depends on shift), 33 days holiday entitlement and the opportunity for training and progress. All employees are automatically enrolled in the government pension scheme with a proportion of the premium paid by the company.

The Role;
-Set CNC turning machines (lathes) with Fanuc controls
-Operating machinery, making adjustment to the setting as required
-Machining and producing components for the aerospace, automotive and process engineering industry.
-Ensure that the quality expectation, as per drawing and planning are achieved
-To be aware of and observe personal health and safety

The Candidate;
-Previous experience in setting and operating CNC Turning or Milling machines
-Knowledge of Fanuc controls to make routine adjustments
-Must be competent in reading and interpreting engineering drawings
-Able to quality check all components using inspection instruments, to measure diameter, surface texture, roundness etc.
