My client, an industry leader in the design, manufacture and supply of RF based monitoring products is looking for a talented and highly skilled Installation and Service Engineer with a background in RFID or wireless based monitoring products.

Your role will be to install, commission, service and calibrate our dedicated wireless systems (project based installations), as well as maintain and service existing systems on the clients behalf. The systems will be fitted to refrigerated cabinets and cold rooms primarily, but will also be used in larger building systems, and will be linked via local are network (LAN) to a hub based at the client site. Installations will include software setup for the connection of wireless networks to handheld and wall-mounted systems which interface with the task monitoring system. My client has written and uses there own software which means full training is given for maximum efficiency for the engineer.

Ideally you will be qualified engineer with a broad based background in IT and electronics system installation and commissioning, and have a broad understanding of data networks, communication systems and LAN, with a proven track record of high level service and maintenance of electronic networks.

You will be an excellent communicator, with strong customer facing skills and the ability to work well under pressure and against tight time schedules.

Ideally you will be based inside the M25/M4 access area, with your primary area being the Home Counties, Greater London and Central London; however you may well be needed to travel around the UK to support other engineers with larger projects.
