Role
We are looking to attract experienced candidates who have operated at a senior officer level, with the following experience / qualifications:
• Master’s Certificate of Competency (desirable)
• Chief Officer’s Certificate of Competency with relevant experience may be considered
• Must be eligible to work in the UK

Duties
• Implementing the International Safety Management (ISM) Code and other shipboard audits to achieve and maintain accreditation in accordance with legislative requirements
• Assisting with accident and/or incident investigations and preparing any associated report(s)
• Identifying documentation amendments/revisions to meet identified needs in the development of the Company’s Management System
• Liaising with classification societies and flag state administrations on matters out with the normal day-to-day operations conducted by superintendents.
• Providing an audit function for shipboard audits in accordance with the requirements of the Company’s Management System
• Interviewing sea staff recruits within their area(s) of expertise as requested by the Personnel Department
• To be a member of the Casualty Response Team
• Any other duties as required by the Company’s senior management
