Purpose of your Role
To undertake all assigned plumbing work to the required job standards and the customer’s reasonable expectations. To ensuing that jobs are completed in line with Health and Safety policy and guidelines at all times.
Day to day duties
•To undertake all First Fix Plumbing jobs as requested, ensuring were possible work is completed on the first visit and to the appropriate service standard.
•To explain fully to policyholders what work is required, whether reinstatement is covered and what will happen next, promoting customer to pay work where appropriate.
•To advise after the completion of each job the outcome and any recommendations including necessary required additional work.
•To use PDA technology in line with the correct operating procedure and ensure all required paperwork is completed accurately, fully and legibly.
•To undertake all works in accordance with company Health & Safety policy, including wearing the correct PPE at all times and reporting all accidents or ‘near misses’ to the Senior Engineer/Coach or Area Manager.
•To create a favourable and professional image in respect of Homeserve to customers, insurance companies, colleagues and the general public at all times.
About the Person
As a Domestic Maintenance Plumber, you will have:
•Able to demonstrate technical knowledge and competency with regard to Domestic Maintenance Plumbing
•NVQ level 2 is essential,
•Must hold a full UK driving license.
•A good general knowledge of all aspects of Plumbing work.
•Must be able to approach and resolve problems logically.
•Has the ability to deal with customer effectively.
