HGV 1 C + E Drivers

Pertemps Ltd have been based on a logistics site in Thatcham for over 10 years and have secured a further 5 year contract on site. We are awarded in the top 100 employers in the UK.
Pertemps Ltd urgently require CLASS 1 HGV drivers to work from our base in Thatcham, Berks.

Full time/ part time and weekend shifts available. All levels of commitments/ availability / experience will be considered. Pertemps has a driver training academy designed to get newly qualified, or those with less experience, on the road!

As a CLASS 1 Driver your duties will include:

• Carrying out CLASS 1 store deliveries and trunking work to a major supermarket chain
• Ensure accurate and timely deliveries to stores and collections from suppliers
• Trunking products to depots throughout the UK
• Responsible for vehicle checks before leaving the depot.

The ideal CLASS 1 Driver will have the following skills and experiences:

• Valid CLASS 1 licence.
• Digi card tacho experience.
• Reliable and flexible.

NB. If you are a newly qualified driver or a driver that doesn’t have 12 months experience, driving a class 1 vehicle then we do offer a free training option. This one days training course will cover you to meet all of insurance requirements and as a result you will be offered full time work on our contract.
