Senior Clinical Fellow in Paediatrics

ID Medical is currently seeking an experienced Senior Clinical Fellow in General Paediatrics for immediate placement at an NHS Hospital in the Beds/Bucks area.

Working in paediatrics allows you to form close links with different areas in medicine, giving the candidate the opportunity to gain multiple skills in a variety of medical areas. This role will give the Specialist the chance to work in a dynamic team and provide a high quality patient service within Paediatrics. A passion for working in a forward-looking specialty needs to be evident.

Core duties for the paediatric position would include:

To assist in the day-to-day running of inpatient paediatric ward, CAU, CED and Ambulatory care and neonatal unit, and the work of the Senior House Officers
Diagnosing Patients and Treatment plans, Clinics, Ward Rounds and supervising junior staff.
Providing pre and post operation care
Monitoring and administering medication, injections, blood transfusions and intravenous infusions
Examination of children with suspected or actual child abuse at the request of Social Services Department or Police, preparation of appropriate medical records and attendance at Case Conferences (Child Protection Meetings)

Requirements:

Qualified in Paediatrics

Valid GMC registration

Current CRB
