Permanent position

A successful engineering company based in Tamworth are currently looking for an Assembler to join their busy production team in the workshop on a permanent basis.

Your duties will include:

* Assembling portable machinery & equipment used in the construction sector

* Working from drawings and diagrams where required

* Calibrating and servicing the machines to a high standard (training will be provided in this aspect)

* Working as part of a team

* Being flexible to carry out other duties when required

Experience required:

* Previous mechanical assembly or fitting experience would be beneficial although training will be provided

* The ability to measure accurately and work from drawings / diagrams and written instructions is preferred

* Excellent attitude towards working with others in a team environment

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required

* A background in Mechanical Manufacturing would be beneficial

* Knowledge of working within Health & Safety requirements is essential

* Ability to work using your own initiative is required

* Knowledge of Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs) and gauges would be beneficial but not essential

A permanent position is on offer to the right person, subject to completion of a successful three-month probation period with the company.

Overtime is sometimes available depending on workloads.
