Motion Graphic Designer – Junior / Mid / Senior

Salary: £36,000 – £48,000 per year

Reporting to: Creative Director
The client, a growing technology business with lots of opportunity to develop a career and based in central Manchester are seeking a Motion Designer & Animator to work on various exciting projects at this time of growth.
They are looking for a talented motion designer, who can conceptualise and execute stand-out motion design, animations & videos.
The candidate must be comfortable taking ideas from an initial concept to a final visual product and thrive in time-sensitive situations, collaborating with the Creative Director and the wider design team.
The desired candidate is an idea generator who is solution oriented and can work well independently, taking ownership of projects and generating their own ideas.

Duties
As one of our dedicated motion designers your role will mostly be filled with bringing our system to life using our new branded assets which are inventive, creative and a joy to animate with.
We want someone who has the eye for motion, understands the basic principles of animation and lets this echo through their work.
The right candidate will be required to edit within premiere pro, selecting suitable music and SFX.
We have a vast range of projects to complete. The right candidate will have excellent project management skills and should be able to juggle multiple projects at once.
As an animator we expect the candidate to have sufficient experience within other adobe applications. (Notably Photoshop & Illustrator)
This role also has the capacity to hire and mentor a Graduate-Level Graphic Designer. Management experience is not required, but would be beneficial.
In this role, your workload will likely be an evolving mixture of the following tasks:
* Head turning product animations (similar to Apple or any other major tech company adverts)
* Video animation for content marketing and software tutorials
* Editing raw video footage to create testimonials
* Occasionally assisting with video shoots
* Animating logo stings
* Developing brand campaigns with the Marketing Team
* Designing digital adverts
* Contributing creative ideas to the marketing team
* and other mix of media-related creative projects
Requirements:
* Formal graphic design training (University degree or diploma)
* Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Premier Pro, After Effects)
* Proficient C4D or Blender experience is highly desirable.
* Excellent knowledge of Social Media and basic channel fundamentals
* Proven skills and educational training in typography, layout, composition, colour theory and information design
* Ability to work efficiently and effectively under pressure, developing creative design solutions within tight deadlines
* Excellent oral and written communications, listening and decision-making skills
* Experience working with senior leadership communications and handling confidential information
* Mentoring / Management skills would be beneficial, but not required. Candidate provides a great attitude, energy drive and enthusiasm
* Overtime may be required on occasion, based on project demands
* Work experience in a similar role is desirable, but ultimately the portfolio should be what shines
