Salary: £52,800 per year

My Client provides community based registered care services for people with learning disabilities, autism and associated complex care needs. Thy provide personalised outcome based support to enable individuals with enhanced care and support needs to live safely, happily and successfully in the community.

They are currently looking to recruit an experienced Registered Manager in Learning Disabilities. They require an individual with a good level of experience of working in and managing services, ideally in the areas of learning disabilities, autism and challenging behaviour.

The home is registered to support 7 individuals in a supported Living setting across 2 units.

Purpose of the role

The people they support are at the heart of everything they do. Your role will involve leading a busy home environment supporting individuals to live their lives to their maximum potential in a way that they want to. This will be a varied and diverse role that will involve leading and guiding the management of the home. Some of the individuals we support will at times display complex or difficult to understand behaviours. We provide the environment and social support model to see the world through the lives of those individuals so that we better meet their needs. In doing so we transform people’s lives.

they are looking for:

* At least 5 years of experience working in a related care setting, preferably in some form of leadership or management role

* A genuine interest in changing the lives of people with autism, learning disabilities and uniquely complex needs

* An understanding of behavioral assessment and analysis

* Experience in implementing Positive Behaviour Support plans and interventions

* Leadership and coaching skills

* Staff management skills

* Honesty and integrity

* Knowledge and understanding

* Professional competency to implement and follow systems and processes

* Ambition and energy to go above and beyond

* Compassion

* Kindness

* Experience in developing and implementing policy and strategy, to support our Area Managers achieve the cultures we aspire to create and uphold
