Barnsley – Child Protection Social Work

Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting for Qualified Social Worker to join the children Protection Social Work Team with Barnsley council on a long term locum Contract.

With this role, you would be involved in managing a set caseload with the application of resources to safeguard and promote the welfare of children. The Assessment Service is based in the Cudworth Centre Barnsley and the Wombwell Police Station and will handle the requests for services screening and CP investigations across Barnsley.

The role will include:
*Working in Line with children who are looked after or are in protection
*Working on a manageable caseload.
*Developing close working relationships with statutory organisations and other providers.
*Evaluate and analyse case information
*Referral and Assessment of the need and risk in relation to children
*Support any legal action taken over cases
*Coordinate and implement child protection plans

For this role.

It is desirable that you have 1+ years post qualifying experience in the children and families social work sector.
* HCPC registration and a relevant DBS
*Degree in social work (or any other equivalent qualifications)
*Experience working within a similar environment or team.
