Role

As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer and Project Leader within the London office, you will be responsible for delivering mechanical and multi-disciplinary building services projects from design through to construction for medium to large scale schemes across an array of industry sectors including Commercial, Residential, Hotels, Hospitality, Mixed-Use Developments, Mission Critical and Data Centres.

Responsibilities

* Act as the Senior Mechanical Design Engineer and Project Leader for mechanical and multi-disciplinary engineering project teams.

* Coordinate mechanical services designs with other building services disciplines and external teams including architects and structural engineers.

* Management of mechanical building services engineering consultancy and design for large scale projects.

* Produce engineering concept design through to detailed design.

* Ensure all design projects and reports are technically compliant and to a consistently high standard.

* Supervise, coach, and develop junior staff members to optimise their potential.

* Use initiative and good judgement to work independently and meet objectives.

Requirements

* A recognised mechanical or building services engineering qualification to degree level.

* A minimum of 5 years’ experience in designing and managing mechanical building services engineering design projects.

* Ideally a Chartered Engineer (CIBSE or IMechE preferred) or ongoing pursuit of CEng status and business qualifications.

* Familiarity with RIBA design stages, from Stage 1 through to tender design.

* Strong technical understanding of various mechanical systems.

* Ability to communicate effectively with staff at all levels across multiple disciplines
