Prototype Technician

Salary: £36,000 per year

Do you want to be working with some of the most luxurious car manufacturers in the world where detail means everything? Then this is the job for you, as a Prototype Technician you will be responsible for the prototyping of automotive components and systems from concept through production.

You will be in a business of over 100 people but as Prototype Technician you will be working in a niche team of other Prototype Technician’s who are a key team in the business.

​​​​Duties of the Prototype Technician:

• Overseeing the creation of prototype parts
• Preparing and uploading data to Rapid Prototyping & 3D Printing Machines, checking CAD files for suitability to run prototype builds
• Prototype part finishing through the use of workshop equipment
• Assembly of prototypes and other development components
• Provide written and oral feedback on build schedules
• Adhere to Health and Safety policies and requirement

The role includes involvement in all aspects of the Prototyping & Additive Manufacturing process setting up FDM and SLA Printers to rapidly produce parts and products for the likes of Bentley, Jaguar, and many other luxury car manufacturing companies.
