Loans Underwriter Required in Norwich

UK Credit Ltd began trading in 2010, and we have been helping borrowers across the UK ever since with our simple, helpful, personal approach to lending.

Our growing and friendly team make up one of the largest providers of guarantor loans in the UK. We now have more than 35 professionals contributing to the growth of our business.

Due to continuing success and growth, we are now looking to recruit the next generation of Loans Underwriters to be based at our Norwich office.

The Candidate

At UK Credit, we pride ourselves on delivering an exceptional standard of customer service, so if you have a true passion and proven track record in customer service, this could be the role for you.

As our ideal candidate, you won`t necessarily have previous experience as a Loan Underwriter but you will have a strong desire to learn the required skills from our highly profession team. You will also possess the following competencies:

– A good standard of secondary education with at least C grade in Math & English, together with higher levels of education i.e. BTEC or A Levels
– Previous experience of working towards achieving targets and objectives is highly desirable
– The ability to make clear, reasoned and informed decisions at all times
– A methodical approach and attention to detail, ability to look through the obvious and spot the anomaly
– Managing your workload effectively
– Computer Literate

The Role

The successful Loans Underwriter will be working as an integral member of a dedicated team responsible for the pre-qualification and underwriting of the customer guarantor loan applications. You will be responsible for managing and the co-ordination of cases from receipt of application through to completion.

Delivering an exceptional standard of customer service is essential, whilst using sound analytical skills to assess each customer`s individual circumstance and situation to assure their suitability.

The Hours

Full-time (40 hours a week)
Shift basis, covering the core business hours of:
Mon – Fri 08:00-17:00 / 09:00-18:00 / 11:00-20:00
Saturdays 09:00 to 12:00 (1 in 4 Saturdays, paid time and a half)
