Operations Manager

Job Description
This is a fantastic opportunity to join our team at our Plymouth Depot. As Operations Manager you will set the standard for operational professionalism, customer service and behaviour for all staff that you manage.

With experience of motivating staff you will lead the depot team in delivering a high quality and cost effective performance within agreed budgets, achieving unit cost, quality and people targets.

You will have an excellent track record of leading within an Operations role, and be able to build effective relationships with employees, unions and key stakeholders. Whilst being responsible for the day to day health, safety and welfare of all employees, you will also instil a proactive culture in the depot and challenge individual behaviours and attitudes.

Desired Skills & Experience
As Line Manager for 3 Frontline Managers taking care of around 70 employees, you will need to provide support and guidance through mentoring and coaching. Leading on coordinating manpower and resource, you will also review all key measurement outputs and identify trends in unit performance, ensuring your teams are focussed on process improvement at all times.

The hours of attendance for the role are typically between 07:00 – 17:00 Monday to Friday, but there is a key requirement to be flexible as at times there may be a need to change these hours due to line management of a team that operates 24hrs a day.

Salary & Benefits
The role has a starting salary of £43,510.8 and up to a 15% bonus.
