Staff Nurse – Low Secure Mental Health Rehabilitation Hospital
We are looking for qualified Mental Health Nurses ( we will also consider Learning Disabilities Nurses with Mental Health Experience ) for permanent roles within a 33 bed Mental Health rehabilitation service in South Leicester. We can consider both part time and full time with salaries of up to £22.8 per hour
Service type: Low Secure Mental Health Rehabilitation and Step Down Service
- Location: Leicester
- Salary: up to £22.8 per hour – negotiable dependant on experience
- Hours: Full Time or Part Time hours available – you can choose depending on preference, the service can be flexible (options of: 22.5 hours, 33 hours or 35.75 hours per week)
- Shifts: 12.5 hour shifts (with paid breaks on nights) – Days or nights are available or a mixture of both – 7.30am – 8pm (days) and 7.30pm – 8am (nights) and you will receive 2 hour break

This Hospital provides care for patients with enduring mental health issues and co-morbid conditions split across 3 Units providing a fully supported rehabilitation and step-down service
Unit 1
12 bedded locked rehabilitation ward
Unit 2
6 bed step down unit within a locked rehabilitation
Unit 3
9 semi-independent living flats with community lounge
residents are encouraged to use the local community services. The Hospital has an Outstanding or Good CQC rating across all areas. They have a very positive and supportive work environment with a brilliant long-standing team including 2 service managers. The have a very low staff turnover and staff morale is very high. The Hospital offers placements focused on active rehabilitation to help Service Users progress into a less restrictive environment, or where possible, directly into a suitable community placement. Service Users typically come from either acute hospitals or low secure hospitals, and the hospital are able to accept directly from the community. Average length of stay is 13 months
Training / Induction and opportunities for development and progression: The Hospital offers a structured and thorough 2 week induction programme, which will include various training courses. Nurses will also have access to clear and structured development programmes where nurses can see clear pathways to progression within the hospital. Nurses will also have access to training opportunities to develop and enhance your nursing skills. Nurses will receive ongoing support from your Manager. Training and development is one of the major ethos’ of the hospital. There are no limits to training and development as the hospital will fund any training course you would like to do that is relevant to your job role.
