12 month Fixed Term Contract

Biosense Webster is the market leader in the highly specialised field of cardiac electrophysiology. We provide therapeutic and diagnostic products accompanied by first class support to this rapidly expanding health care sector. As such we are looking to continue invest and expand in this highly innovative and exciting area of cardiology.

We are seeking to recruit several highly talented, motivated and ambitious individuals to become Trainee Clinical Support Specialists for Biosense Webster throughout the UK. Reporting to the Area Business Manager within a set region, the successful applicants will be responsible for executing specific customer development and training plans by providing full clinical support to all the Biosense Webster accounts (hospitals) within their region. You will have daily contact with Electrophysiologists, Cardiologists, their direct support nursing and technical teams within a hospital cardiac lab environment.

A key responsibility will be to provide training and clinical support for the Biosense Webster CARTO® System, a 3-dimensional navigation and anatomical reconstruction tool. This role is a key part of the sales and marketing organisation and as such will help drive sales in order to meet individual territory targets.

Full clinical training program will be provided. Prospective candidates should be aware that this is a highly exciting field, which is also technically demanding and as such, training to full competency may take 6 – 12 months. This role is a 12 month temporary contract in which the successful candidate will train within a specific geographical region. As such this role is designed to provide the pipeline to a permanent position within our organisation as we continue to invest and expand. This role will require a high degree of travel throughout the UK. As such, geographical flexibility would be advantageous.

The successful candidate should ideally meet the following criteria:

• Preferably educated to degree level in a scientific discipline such as Biomedical Engineering, Medical Engineering, Cardiac Electrophysiology, Medical Science, Biomedical Science, Clinical Sciences, Medical Physiology.
• Have the capacity to gain in-depth product and procedure knowledge, and the ability to communicate effectively with every level of the hospital hierarchy.
• Must possess strong presentation skills with an excellent capacity to coach and train customers on the use of Biosense Webster products.
• Excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to build strong relationships quickly
• Creative and innovative approach with good analytical and problem solving skills.
• Must be self-disciplined, organised and be able to take ownership and responsibility for business objectives.
• Comfortable working in a team environment, but also be extremely self-motivated when working alone.
• Able to positively influence thinking, behaviour and gain commitment.
• Experience of working in a clinical cardiology environment would be advantageous
• Computer software package skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Full & clean driving licence
