Salary: £48,000 – £60,000 per year

What? Management Accountant

Where? Newbury

How much? £45,000 – £50,000 dependant on experience

I am working with a manufacturing company based in Newbury to help them recruit a management accountant to join their team based in Newbury. If you are a CIMA/ ACCA finalist or newly qualified and looking to step into a management accountant role that will give you a lot of exposure, then this could be the role for you!

Responsibilities:

  • Completing the monthly management accounts pack on a timely and accurate basis, with high quality analysis and commentary
  • Preparing and reviewing balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring that any differences/issues are identified, reported and resolved
  • Controlling Intercompany transactions/reconciliations
  • Taking part in inventory valuation, analysis, reporting, control and annual stock counts
  • Monitoring performance against budgets/plan and reporting to the management team
  • Analysis of Sales and orders
  • Working with the financial controller in the preparation of the weekly 80/20 reports
  • Approving RFQ’s and orders and working with the business team to ensure quote margins meet business plans.
  • Providing business support and developing financial models to provide financial insight and improve commercial awareness
  • Ensuring the integrity of the financial records, defining controls and procedures necessary to ensure the consistency, accuracy and reliability of financial results
  • Working with the site leadership team and financial controller in the preparation of annual budgets and rolling forecasts

Qualifications:

  • Candidates will be part/ fully qualified (CIMA / ACCA) with at least 2 years’ financial experience gained ideally in a manufacturing environment –
  • Excellent business partnering and communication skills demonstrating capability to influence and collaborate at a senior level
  • A continuous improvement mind set and strong systems capability, particularly with Excel (complex formulas, data analysis sets).
  • Outstanding attention to detail and strong administration skills
  • Able to work autonomously
  • Driving license and an ability to travel is preferred.
