Client:
Our client is a global provider of aircraft component services working out of a brand new purpose built facility in West Sussex. They now require two permanent employees in the Goods Despatch team.

General Objective:
To work as part of a team to ensure that all incoming/outgoing shipments are handled per the company procedures and meets all operational requirements

Main activities:
GOODS RECEIVING INSPECTION:
– Inspecting Aircraft parts for quality requirements.
– Data entry on our quantum database.

DESPATCH:
-Quality inspection of orders / products for shipment to our customers.
-Efficient and effective packaging techniques.
-Effective communication with the logistics team on all shipments.

DRIVING:
-Local Deliveries / Collections using the company vehicles will be required.
-Represent the company in a professional manner when communicating with suppliers/customers.
-To clean and maintain the company vehicles used in stores.

Requirements
-Processing and handling of Hazardous material.
– Counter balance / Reach Forklift use within stores preferred but not essential
– Good IT and Communication skills
– Ability to coordinate workload and multi task.
– Problem solving.
– Ability to meet deadlines.
– Methodical and accurate.
– AOG Sales support may be required in busy times.
– Work to the requirements of the companies ISO9001-2008 quality standards.
– General stores work, including cleaning, maintenance of equipment, filing etc.
– Overtime if and when requested by your department manager to meet operational requirements. This could be at very short notice.
– Flexibility of working hours

Requirements:
– Previous aviation/despatch experience preferred but not essential
– Good communication skills at all levels, verbal and written
– Enthusiastic, self-motivated, physically fit to undertake manual work
– UK driving license
– Ability to problem solve and investigate in depth system issues and procedures.
– Ability to work under pressure as the dept. can become extremely busy
– Ability to prioritise and manage workloads
– Good organisational and time management skills
– Professional and courteous telephone manner
– Good IT skills
– Flexible and adaptable
– Use initiative and common sense

Additional Information
-Job type: Permanent, full-time.
-Shift Pattern: 1 x Monday to Friday 8 hours between 07.00 and 19.00
1 x 12 hour shift 4 on, 4 off 10.00 – 22.00
Salary: Competitive plus shift allowance if working a 4 on, 4 off shift.
