CNC Miller Setter Operator

Salary: £15 – £17.4 per hour

Due to continued growth Inspire Resourcing Ltd are recruiting for a CNC Machinist. This is to work on a variety of products with in an Engineering environment.

Programmer Duties and Responsibilities

* Read and Interpret Blueprints

The CNC programmer will be required read the blueprint designs of the product to be manufactured and then set their machines to produce the components. This requires familiarity with computer-aided design (CAD) software. Training will be provided, however experience with Fanuc software would be an advantage.

Program Mills and Lathes

The programmer will be responsible for the formulas necessary to program mills and lathes using computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) software and Fanuc. It involves

* entering tool registries

* start and end points

* offsets

* conditional switches

It requires knowledge of geometry and trigonometry.

Other duties include:

* Stock management of raw materials

* Maintenance of equipment

* implement routine maintenance checklists

* performing basic troubleshooting when a machine malfunctions

Once machines are set:

* Monitor progress

* Check positioning

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with the ability to work independently at times.

Hours: Days

Salary: 30-35K depending on experience.
