Setter Out CAD Draughtsperson – Shopfitting / Joinery

Duties

Produce AutoCAD Production Drawings for a wide range of Equipment / Retail Products Manufactured in Timber, Steel, Glass, Acrylic etc.
Interpret Briefs from clients, In House Designers, Account Managers and translate into Manufacture details.
Produce Drawings / Information in accordance with company CAD standards.
Allocation of Part nos. Creation and issue of Production worksheets
Compilation of Delivery Schedules
Sourcing / Specifying Bought Out Parts / Components.
Liaise with suppliers
Carry Out Accurate Equipment Surveys either on or off site (Overseas travel may be required)
Compile Health and Safety / Fit for Purpose documentation relevant to manufactured Equipment.

Responsibilities

Translate Brief into Production Details
Ensure Equipment is detailed to suit company production techniques and current Machinery.
Ensure Details produced are fit for purpose and comply with any applicable regulations / H&S guidelines.
Liaise with Commercial Manager to ensure equipment is detailed cost effectively.
Relate any queries regarding information received to Account team / Dept manager.
Maintenance of Standard Records and Procedures allied to DO.
Ensure Systems and files are Maintained correctly (Electronic and Paper)
Ensure workload is prioritised under direction of Manager.

Relationships
Working Under the supervision of the Drawing Office Manager
Briefs may come from a variety of sources – In House Designers, Accounts Managers, Directors etc.
Liaise with Commercial Manager to ensure equipment is detailed cost effectively / In accordance with Estimated price (if priced pre – Set Out)
Maintain close contact with all production departments to ensure current practices and Machine capabilities are considered when producing details.
